Introduction to iPS

• iPS are a type of pluripotent stem cell artificially derived from a non-pluripotent cell, typically an adult somatic cell.
• iPS were first produced in 2006 from mouse cells and in 2007 from human cells.
• iPS are not totipotent and do not involve the destruction of an embryiPS不是全能性的，不涉及胚胎的破坏
